How we work

Outlined below are the typical phases that a streaming project would go through. The larger or more ambitous the project the more planning and pre-production is required.

Preparation is key. Whether for a big or a small event, pre-production is an essential component of what we do.

1. Planning

Pre-production is an essential part of any live stream. If you are looking to produce something substantial, we will begin work on your show weeks in advance. Working with you to plot out your vision for the live stream, then preparing and rehearsing the various aspects and sequences of the production.

If your requirements are lighter we can simply roll in, set up cameras, and send it to your audience. This approach work well with live events or performances, where the action has been decided and we are just to package and deliver it to the masses.

2. Internet Speed

Whatever the event, the first thing we need to do is test the internet connection. We use our own wireless router to connect to the internet, so we are not relying on a network which may be supporting other users. But if we cannot get a strong signal then we cannot stream. A recce of the location is essential to determine the best approach.

3. Scope and Milestones

Once that is established, we next look at budget and client expectations. This allows us to explore what the client needs and wants from us, and what we can deliver within the budget that is allocated. We agree deposits, tranches and any other criteria so that we are all on the same page moving forward. That you are clear in what we are going to do for you, and that we are clear about what you expect us to deliver.

4. Pre-Production

We then set a schedule and we enter pre-production. Rehearsals, release forms venues, equipment, all the fun of the circus as we ramp up towards the big event, the broadcast. We will have done some dry-runs before showtime, and used the rehearsal time allocated to get the production running smooth.

5. Live Stream

We then set a schedule and we enter pre-production. Rehearsals, release forms venues, equipment, all the fun of the circus as we ramp up towards the big event, the broadcast. We will have done some dry-runs before showtime, and used the rehearsal time allocated to get the production running smooth.

6. Post Event

After the show we can supply you with a recording of the live stream for posterity and promotion. We can do an amount of post-production on this recording if promotional edits are required or if certain sequences need to be trimmed.
